TERRA Media Retention

Since 2019, TERRA media retention has been a free component of the TERRA on-site service.

TERRA Media Retention is a special service for data protection: Should your hard drive ever need to be replaced as part of the TERRA on-site service, the old defective hard drive may be a danger to your data protection. With the TERRA media retention you can safely eliminate this danger. Your TERRA service partner will make the old hard disk unusable and then hand over the old data carrier to you. All you have to do is confirm receipt.

There are no costs. The hard disk does not leave your house. There is no alternative to this service in view of the current data protection requirements. After that, it's up to you whether you want to take further steps if this still doesn't go far enough for you. There are many offers here, up to and including shredding to millimetre-size particles.
